Ohio Healthy Programs
OCCRRA created Ohio Healthy Programs in response to the growing concern surrounding childhood obesity at both state and national levels. Initial funding for the program was provided through a grant from the Ohio Department of Health. The project offers child care programs the opportunity to earn recognition as an Ohio Healthy Program. Steps toward this distinction include: attending training, implementing a wellness policy, improving menus and engaging parents.
