JOB SUMMARY:
The Professional
Development Registry Associate will assist with the development and
implementation of Ohio’s Professional Development Registry. This
position will provide information to the early childhood community
regarding the policies, procedures and benefits of the registry. In
addition data entry and verification, based on established policies
and procedures, will be a foundational responsibility of the
position.
SUMMARY OF KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist early care
and education professionals in the initial log-in process for the
Professional Development Registry.

Assist with the
establishment and implementation of Registry policies and
procedures.

Work with the
Data/IS Director and/or consultants to further the development of
the Registry design and to enhance its usability.

Verify files for
professionals entered in the Registry in a timely manner.
-
Organize, maintain
and update files for registered professionals in a confidential
manner.
-
Update and maintain
child care center lists in relation to Registry activity for Step UP
To Quality.
-
Attend meetings in
the professional development system as needed and/or assigned.

Present
informational sessions on the Registry to the greater community as
needed.

Provide statistical
information and reports for the Registry as requested.

Additional tasks as
assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
BA/BS in Early Childhood Development or
a related field preferred.

Three years of professional development
experience.

Understanding of the professional
development delivery system.

Strong project management skills.
-
Track record of a proactive work style,
organized, and ability to be both a "big picture thinker" with high
attention to detail important to success.

Documented oral and written
communication skills, time management skills, and organizational
skills.

Literate in Microsoft Office.
CONDITIONS OF
WORK:

Flexible hours varying from the 40 hour
week, including occasional evenings & weekend hours & overnight

JOB SUMMARY
The T.E.A.C.H. Early
Childhood® Ohio Associate is responsible for case
management of scholarships issued through the T.E.A.C.H. Ohio
program and for providing support and information to T.E.A.C.H. Ohio
scholarship recipients, program sponsors, higher education partners,
and other supporting organizations. This position
reports to the Director of T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood®
Ohio.
SUMMARY OF KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide
information to prospective program participants; distribute
information and application packets upon request.
- Maintain
ongoing communication with and provide assistance to scholarship
recipients, sponsors, and higher education partners as needed for
successful implementation of program.
- Maintain
complete and accurate hard copy and electronic records; maintain
contact log of all contacts with and on behalf of program
participants.
- Review and
process applications, scholarship awards, payment requests,
invoices and other communication in accord with T.E.A.C.H. Early
Childhood® Ohio program guidelines.
- Encourage
scholarship recipients in the establishment of their professional
goals, and assist them with developing plans for reaching those
goals.
- As needed,
assist scholarship recipients with issues related to course
selection, enrollment, and successful completion of coursework.
- Assist with
outreach, advisory committee operations, and public education;
make recommendations for and assist with the development of forms,
procedures, and policies to support the successful operation of
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Ohio.
- Prepare
reports as requested.
- Maintain
strict confidentiality with respect to information about program
participants, sponsors, and partner organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor
degree in ECE/CD or closely related professional area; at least
one year employment experience in ECE/CD profession.
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time
management and organizational skills.
- Technology
literacy, including ability to use word processing and spreadsheet
programs; ability to do research via e-mail and internet.
- Ability to
maintain accurate and complete program and fiscal records.
- Ability to
work well with diverse customer and stakeholder organizations.
- Ability to
travel by car and other common carrier as needed to complete
assignments.
